Musipedia is a searchable, editable, and expandable database of tunes, melodies, and musical themes. Similar to Wikipedia, although not affiliated, users are able to add and edit contributions including sheet music, MIDI files and textual information.
Musipedia allows searching by sequences of musical pitch. Either by entering a simple series of letters, U, R and D, for Up, Repeat or Down, known as Parsons Code, or sonically by analyzing audio taken from singing, whistling or playing an instrument and converting it to Parsons Code. Music searches can also be made in the usual fashion using keywords for text.
